When I started Fun Science in 1991, my vision was to interject the energy and enthusiasm I felt about science into the teaching experience. I had taught kids of all ages for years and understood what it took to make the process fun and productive. But I quickly realized that to have a meaningful impact I needed to first help teachers. I help train thousands of teachers every year so I hear their concerns and understand the time and resource limitations today’s teachers are facing. All this training, experience and feedback has helped Fun Science evolve into much more than a provider of “science accessories”. Our focus is to create ready to use experiments – complete scientific kits that are fun, engaging and teach valuable scientific principles that will promote a lifetime love of learning. Have Fun with Science! – Andrea Alexander Andrea Alexander holds a BS in Chemistry – Fisk University, three years on engineering studies – Vanderbilt University and has completed graduate work in Organic Chemistry. She has extensive experience speaking at science training programs at local, state and nation levels, starting with Project Earth 95’ – A National Science Awareness Program. She continues to conduct hands-on science workshops for teachers and consults with public and private sector organizations.
