| Fun Science Ice-cream
What you need
• 1 Cup of whole milk
• 3/4 Cup Rock Salt
• 4 Tablespoons Sugar
• 2 Handful Ice
• 3-4 Drops Vanilla
• 2 Large & 1 Small Plastic freezer bags (ZIP SEAL)
• Cones
What to do
Place whole milk inside the small freezer bag, add sugar and vanilla.
Zip the bag closed. Place the rock salt inside the large zip bag. Place
the smaller bag inside the larger bag. Add the ice around the small bag.
Making sure the ice has contact with the salt. Zip the large bag tightly.
Double up on the bag by placing it into another large bag. Shake for 5-9
minutes. Check to see if the milk is frozen. Shake longer and add more
ice if needed. Remove the small bag with frozen milk and serve on a cone.

Fluffy Crystal
What you need
• 6 Tablespoons of table salt
• 6 Tablespoons of water
• 6 Tablespoons of bluing (found in grocery stores)
• 1 Tablespoon of ammonia
• Petri Dish and cup
• Stirrer
• Charcoal or rock
• 6-8 drops of food color
What to do
Place the charcoal or rock into the petri dish. Mix the ammonia, salt,
bluing and water in the cup. Still well! Add 6-8 drops of food color in
the solution. Slowly pour the mixture over the charcoal.
Do not touch for a few days as the crystals begin to grow.
